Catholic Secondary Colleges
INTRODUCTION
Holy Family Catholic Primary School enjoys a strong relationship with our two Catholic Secondary Colleges located in Bathurst. It is natural for our students to progress to St Stanislaus’ College and MacKillop College when they successfully complete their primary schooling.
Each year, a pathways program assists our Year 6 students to become orientated to each of the Catholic Colleges prior to entering Year 7.

MACKILLOP – STANNIES
Trade Training Centre: In 2009, an announcement was made that MacKillop, Stannies and St Joseph’s Oberon were successful in a collaborative application to have a Trade Training Centre funded by the Commonwealth Government. The total project will be funded to the tune of $3.2M.
MacKillop constructed a commercial kitchen with associated café restaurant in a freestanding building worth over $1.2M. This will benefit students studying Commercial Cooking and Catering Operations.
Stannies constructed a workshop, which focuses on metal trades training. This is a modern on-site facility, which greatly enhances trade-training opportunities for the boys.
- Current primary school students who move on to MacKillop and Stannies will reap the benefits of this successful funding and subsequent building of new facilities.
